Neighbors are cleaning out their tiny freezer. Most people use everything fresh.  Hoping for some wild boar meat.  Simmered in tomato sauce and served with very wide(about an inch) noodles that I make, cannot be beaten.  More like stew or pot roast than tomato sauce.  More brown than red as the meat is darker than domestic pork. People tend to make boar sausage and cure them themselves when they kill one.
I do not get many opportunities to post anything, but I just finished a brick and clay oven in the yard.  I roasted lots of vegetables over a fruit wood fire and had them with local sausages and pasta...OMG I wish Harry were still alive...he would be begging for those I can safely feed a dog.
